Day 1: Marrakech to Erfoud

Your adventure begins in Marrakech, where our friendly guide will meet you. We’ll drive through the beautiful Atlas Mountains, heading towards Erfoud. On the way, explore the interesting Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and check out its ancient castle. Throughout the day, enjoy the changing landscapes, from green valleys to wide desert plains.

Day 2: Erfoud to Merzouga

The most exciting part of your journey is in Erfoud, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Take a fun trip to the famous fossil beds of Erfoud, where you can find fossils that are millions of years old. Chat with local experts who will explain why this place is so important geologically. In the afternoon, continue to Merzouga, where the amazing sand dunes of Erg Chebbi are waiting for you. A camel ride will take you to a peaceful camp in the desert, offering an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga to Marrakech

Keep exploring fossils as you venture into the captivating landscapes of the Sahara. Visit the fossil-rich areas around Erfoud, where you can easily find trilobites, ammonites, and orthoceras fossils. Get hands-on with fossil hunting and learn about the ancient sea life that once existed here.
