Itinerary for the 7-day Birdwatching Tour of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert from Marrakech:
Day 1: Oukaimeden – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Join us for a 7-day journey that begins and ends in Marrakech to discover the best birdwatching Morocco has to offer. We will come and get you from the airport or your hotel in Marrakech (rooms available upon request). We drive to Oukaimeden, which is tucked away in the High Atlas Mountains, to start our adventure. Numerous bird species can be found in this area, including local favorites such as the endemic Levaillant’s Green Woodpecker, Little Owl, Moroccan Magpie, Sardinian Warbler, Spotless Starling, Moussier’s Redstart, House Bunting, and Blue Rock Thrush.
